Discover America Through Postcards

Honorable Mention

White Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia

These colorful crab and lobster boats brighten White Bay, a lovely fishing village in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia—the 75th largest island in the world. Once joined to Scotland, now separated by millions of years of continental drift, Cape Breton attracts nature lovers to its scenic mountains, glacial valleys and rocky shores. (Nova Scotia is Latin for New Scotland.)

The second will be announced next week. All honorable mention recipients receive an autographed copy of the companion book, Discover America Diaries.
