Governor Letters

State of New Jersey

OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR

CHRISTINE TODD WHITMAN

State of New Jersey

October 14, 1997

Dear Ms. Sarsfield:

Thank you for writing to inquire about places for you and your husband to visit in
New Jersey. With 127 miles of the softest white sandy beaches on the East Coast, more than a million acres of Pinelands, beautiful lakes, rivers, and streams, and miles of scenic valleys and breathtaking mountains, the Garden State provides an abundance of "perfect" vacation spots.

Atlantic City offers the thrill of casino gambling and top-notch entertainment. You can also enjoy the heartpounding excitement of our many amusement areas, theme parks, and premier professional sports events. And you can spend endless hours of fun on our seaside boardwalks.

Outdoor enthusiasts know that the Garden State is a playground for all seasons.
Whether you enjoy skiing, surfing, hiking, or horseback riding, you are sure to find fun in New Jersey.

And our history and culture are as rich as our soil. New Jersey has more than 100
Revolutionary War battle sites, world-renowned educational institutions, and lots of opportunities to enjoy world-class theater, museums, music, and dance.

I hope you and your husband will join the many, many people who visit New Jersey each year and discover What a Difference a State Makes.

Sincerely yours,

Christine Todd Whitman
Governor
