Marshall, MI

In 1839 the town of Marshall was so certain of becoming the state capital that it built this Governor's Mansion for the future state executive. But Marshall lost by one vote to Lansing and the home fell into private hands until 1966 when it was donated to the Daughters of the American Revolution.
